Reflexology...

I am a Level 3 qualified Practitioner in Reflexology (accredited by FHT)

Approximately 60 minute treatment - £50

Initial treatment will include a 15 minute health and lifestyle consultation

Reflexology is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that encourages the body to balance and heal itself.  It involves applying finger or thumb pressure to specific points on the hands and feet.  These points are called ‘reflexes’ and they reflect, or mirror, the organs and structures of the body as well as the person’s emotional health.  In this way, the hands and feet are ‘mini maps’ or ‘microcosms’ of the body that can be used to encourage holistic healing.

The effect of the treatment is to leave you feeling balanced, centred and grounded.  Whatever your health, having reflexology will almost always result in a feeling of relaxation and a better night’s sleep.  Additional sessions will accumulate in having a positive effect on your health.

Increased circulation to the organs and better flow of the body’s energy can help with many health issues.  Toxins are eliminated and harmony restored to help regain optimum wellness.  Although much can be learned from a person's feet, as a Reflexologist I am not allowed to diagnose symptoms and will always suggest referral to your GP if I have any concerns from signs I find in a session.  It is possible and indeed beneficial, to have reflexology alongside conventional medical treatments.  If you are taking medicine or seeking help from other disciplines, reflexology is safe to use in addition.

What to expect...

*Please wash your feet thoroughly, in warm water, before attending your appointment, as this relaxes the feet and prepares them for treatment*

The initial session will take about an hour and twenty minutes to allow for me to take notes about your wishes and your health so that I can tailor treatments to fit your needs, followed by a reflexology treatment.  Subsequent sessions will be about one hour.  Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that may be pulled up to knee length.  Apart from footwear you will not be asked to remove your clothing.

Most client’s health concerns are greatly improved or solved after about six sessions, but even after the first session most people feel a difference.  After two or three treatments it is easier to tell how the rate of change to your condition is likely to progress.

Many clients come simply for relaxation or an ‘MOT’ one-off session to maintain optimum health and wellbeing, for a treat or to aid recovery from a bout of being ill.

A treatment is never ticklish and the condition of your feet does not make a difference to the effectiveness of the treatment.

Cancellation policy...

As I'm sure you can appreciate, my time is my business and late cancellations and no-shows really affect my income.  Therefore I do have a cancellation policy.  Please give me the opportunity to re-book an appointment by giving me at least 48 hours notice.  If I am not given this 48 hour notice a 50% cancellation fee will be invoiced or collected at your next treatment, or the full cost of the treatment for a no-show. Thank you for your understanding.
